Kills yeast, mold, and bacteria

Steam temperatures reach around 350°F and can deliver temperatures of 212-240°F at the nozzle tip, effectively killing microbes. Steam penetrates wood surfaces and pores, reaching ¼–½” deep, to eliminate hidden bacteria naturally. While some yeast strains can resist low pH, high alcohol, and SO2, dry steam effectively combats these spoilage-causing microbes.

Optima SE-II

This electric model is designed for indoor industrial use and is ideal for food and beverage equipment sanitation. It is available in 18K, 27K, and 42K configurations, with ASME-compliant options available. The SE-II features an LCD monitor for easy operation and maintenance and is made of food-grade SAE 304 stainless steel. It can be configured with up to four hoses and guns for multiple operators.

Optima CMF

This diesel-powered wet steamer is ideal for cleaning tasks requiring deeper penetration. It can be used with a 100’ hose without compromising steam power. When paired with the right accessories, the CMF can be used for mobile equipment washing and wine barrel cleaning and sanitation.

Winery Applications

Barrel sanitation

Optima Steamers can sanitize two barrels simultaneously as a standalone cleaning station or four barrels at a time when paired with an automatic barrel washer. They can also swell barrels in minutes, unlike traditional methods that can take hours.

Tank sanitation

The Optima Steamer can sanitize stainless steel, concrete, and HDPE plastic tanks quickly and efficiently. It can reach a temperature of 200°F throughout a 6,000-gallon stainless steel tank in 40 minutes using only a few gallons of water.

Bottling line sanitation

Dry steam from the Optima Steamer is perfect for cleaning in place (CIP). It effectively sanitizes delicate bottling line equipment parts without using high pressure or harsh chemicals.
